Season Overview

AC Milan entered the 1999-2000 season as defending Serie A champions under manager Alberto Zaccheroni. The Rossoneri finished third in Serie A, securing qualification for the UEFA Champions League. In domestic cup competitions, Milan were runners-up in the Supercoppa Italiana and reached the Coppa Italia quarter-finals. Their UEFA Champions League campaign concluded in the first group stage.

Key Players

Andriy Shevchenko joined the club and was the Serie A top scorer with 24 goals in his debut season. The squad featured influential players such as captain Paolo Maldini, Demetrio Albertini, Oliver Bierhoff, and Zvonimir Boban, who wore the number 10 shirt for AC Milan during this period. New signings Gennaro Gattuso and Serginho also made significant contributions to the team.
